[/color]I know I would stick out like a sore thumb if i put my hood down. Snow blonde hair wouldn't be good in China Town. Black hair, black hair, black hair. it was a sea of black sheep, and I was wooled in white. So it was a simple solution, really. I remained clothed in black, black hood up, black jeans, with just a white tee undernieth. And not to mention Fella trotting at my side, the bloodhound alert as he always was. I kept my head low, hands shoved in my pockets. I weaved easily through the crowd, knowing my way perfectly around China Town. This place was my kind of town. It was easy to keep myself moving, icey blue eyes boring ahead with no sign of heeding to anyone, so signal of yield for any mother, child, or elder. If I was late for this, I could loose these customers for good.
I turned down a narrow street, almost completely devoided of any life at all, the streets shining with the layer of mist that came drizzling down. Fella didn't exactly like the water, but he knew to deal with it. He'd never leave me. So, with my skater vans splashing in the puddles, I continued on, a woman on a mission. This was dangerous work, and I could afford no distractions. I shoved past a few school girls that just seemed to stick in one group, and they all made sounds of discontempt, tossing insults in Japanese towards her. Then one of them said something I couldn't stand.
"‚ ‚È‚½©•w!" You whore.
That little fucking brat called me a whore. I froze dead in my tracks, cocking my head a bit as my fists clenched. Fella stopped and whined. he knew I was pissed. I smiled dangerously, clicking my touch. Oh that little bitch would get it. I whirled around, facing her.
"‚Ç‚¤‚µ‚½Ž„‚¾‚¯ƒR[ƒ‹?" I spat. What did you just call me?
One of the girls, her almond shaped, brown eyes and pin straight jet black hair and her skinny little body and her petite hieght only making me seeth. She flipped her hair behind her shoulder and laughed, looking me up and down. She looked back to her group of bitches and they all started laughing. She turned back to me.
"‚ ‚È‚½‚ªŽ„‚ð•·‚¢‚½©•w." she sneered. You heard me, whore.
Oh, she was going to regret that. "Ž„ŒL‘ܘb‚¾‚낤." I hissed. I wouldn't be talking, hoe bag. "‚à‚µŽ„‚ª‚ ‚È‚½‚¾‚Á‚½‚玄‚Í‚»‚ê‚ðŒ©‚Ä‚Í." I would watch it I were you.
The girl raised her perfectly waxed and arched eye brow. "‚Ü‚½‚͉½‚©?‚ ‚È‚½‚ÌŒ¢‚ÍŽ„‚Ì•a‹C‚Ì‚Å‚µ‚傤‚©?" Or what? You will sick your dog on me?
I grinned, putting my ahnds on my hips. i shook my head, looking down at the ground. Who the fuck did this bitch think she was? I laughed, short and clipped, looking back up to her. "‘½‚‚̈«‚¢—."
She wasn't laughing for long when something deadly and nine millameters long with one damn deadly blow to it. I pulled the gun, cocked it, and held it right towards her forehead. They shut up real fast. The girl paled, and I swear she could have peed her pants. I smirked.
"¡©•wÎ?" I sneered. Laughing now, whore?
She just shook her head slowly, and I could actually see her shaking. I chuckled, putting the gun away. I didn't say anything, jsut turned away and kept walking, shoving my hands in my pocket. Fella just followed, tail wagging and his ears perked up. It didn't take me long to reach the ally way, and i smiled triumphantly. I knew they were there. i could smell the scent of smoke that seemed to cling to them.
I walked into the ally way. They both looked up, their Japanese eyes glaring as the boys came forward. "You're late," one boy with red tipped hair snapped in his heavily accented voice. I rolled my eyes. "Do you want the shots or what?"
One guy came forward, tossing the money towards me in a wad, his blue hair flashing, slick with rain. I caught it, counting it before shoving it into my pocket. I pulled out the little bag of needles, each filled with the deadly heroin they were so addicted to. I looked at thier eager faces, then back tot he bag and smiled. it was dangerous, but I needed some fun. Danger was fun, wasn't it? Something new and exciting.
"You know, heroin is very addicting." I warned.
THey glared. "That's your job, is it not?" the blue haired-boy snapped. I only smiled.
"Maybe I want it."
Okay, I had to admit, I was not expecting this. The red-tipped boy lunged with a shout of rage. Were they really that addicted? I gasped, stepping back and I tiried to get out of the way. I barely managed a crippling blow tot eh gut and instead, he hit my side.I should have let him get my gut as he grabbed the heroin.
The gunshot shounded loudly, echoing through the ally. It was an instant pain. You know when people say it takes them a minute to realize they're hurt? Yeah, fuck no! I screamed, the burning bullet boring itself into my ribs. Both the japanese boys shouted to each other in japanese and ran, clearly afraid. They goddamned should be! I tried to get up, holding my right side as blood gushed over my fingers, and I groaned. i couldn't get up. i just stayed crumpled against the wall. Fella was barking like mad.
Okay, get the bullet out, Lia. Get it out. I took a deep breath, tearing off my sweatshirt and I cried out as I tossed the black hoodie to the side. I released a hiss of pain through clenched teeth, throwing the gun away, across the ally. Goddamned thing would be the death of me. I groaned again, pressed harder against the wound. I was breathing faster and heavier, the pain burning and burning with the blazing hot bullet. I had to get my fingers into the wound. Oh God.
I couldnft help but scream as I dug my fingers into my flesh, trying to get sort of leverage on the bullet. I couldnft stop crying out. I finally felt it, the burning metal. I tried to widen my fingers so I could grab it, but I screamed with the pain. I had to do it. I had to do it or I could easily bleed to death, and I could never afford a hospital. Not to mention I hate them. I stopped, tears streaming down my face, no matter how hard I tried to stop it. I was even sweating by now.
And I did it.
I did it as fast as I could, but not as fast as I wished I could. I grabbed the bullet with a cry of pain and yanked, ripped the burning metal from my flesh. I threw the bloody thing as far as I could and groaned, grabbing my horrifically bleeding wound and forced myself to stand. I needed to get back to the Attic. I leaned against the wall though, squeezing my eyes shut as I fought the urge to scream again. I tried to walk, but almost fell. I looked up to the raining sky in dismay, then back to my bloody side, my white shirt entirely red, my hands covered and my jeans stained. Fella was still barking and whining, tail wagging woefully.
I sure hoped I wouldn't die today.
